Windows HPC Integration > Command Line HPC JobsThe examples in this section demonstrate several scenarios for entering Command Line HPC Jobs. The task executable should be specified as described in Installing Ansoft Tools. The project file should be the last argument in the command line and should be specified as described in Project File Directory. Other command line arguments should be selected in order to start the analysis as a batch job.
Following are a number of command line examples for running HPC jobs using Ansoft Designer.
Command Line that analyzes Designer project serially. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ansoft\Designer5\Designer.exe" -ng -local -batchsolve \\shared_drive\projs\OptimTee5.Designer
Command Line that analyzes Designer project serially and monitors analysis progress that is printed to stdout/stderr. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ansoft\Designer5\Designer.exe" -ng -monitor -local -batchsolve \\shared_drive\projs\OptimTee5.Designer
Command Line that uses four cores for multi-processing of analysis. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ansoft\Designer5\Designer.exe" -ng -monitor -local -batchoptions "'Designer/Preferences/NumberOfProcessors'=4" -batchsolve \\shared_drive\projs\OptimTee5.Designer
Command Line that runs four distributed engines, on compute units allocated by HPC Scheduler. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ansoft\Designer5\Designer.exe" -ng -monitor -distributed -machinelist num=4 -batchsolve \\shared_drive\projs\OptimTee5.Designer
Command Line that runs four distributed engines, with each engine using four cores for multi-processing. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ansoft\Designer5\Designer.exe" -ng -monitor -distributed -machinelist num=4 -batchoptions " 'Designer/Preferences/NumberOfProcessorsDistributed'=4 'Designer/Preferences/NumberOfProcessors'=4" -batchsolve \\shared_drive\projs\OptimTee5.Designer
