嘉宾简介
孙惠方（Huifang Sun），美国三菱实验室副总裁，IEEE Fellow。
Huifang Sun graduated from Harbin Military Engineering Institute, Harbin,
China, and received the Ph.D. from University of Ottawa, Canada in 1986.
He joined Electrical Engineering Department of Fairleigh Dickinson University
as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to an Associate Professor before
moved to Sarnoff Corporation in 1990 as a member of technical staff and was
promoted to a Technology Leader of Digital Video Communication later. In 1995,
he joined Murray Hill Lab of Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories as
Deputy Director now. His research interests include digital video/image
compression and digital communication. He has published more than 100 Journal
and Conference papers. He holds 17 US patents (issued and allowed) and has more
pending. He received AD-HDTV Team Award in 1992 and Technical Achievement
Award for optimization and specification of the Grand Alliance HDTV video
compression algorithm in 1994 at Sarnoff Lab. He received the best paper award
of 1992 IEEE Transaction on Consumer Electronics and Best paper award of 1996
ICCE and also Best Paper award of 2003 CSVT(IEEE Transaction on Circuits and
Systems for Video Technology).  He is now an associate editor for IEEE
Transaction on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology and IEEE Fellow.
