This type of block represents an n-channel Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET). This model represents a three-pin N MOS, where the MOSFET substrate terminal (bulk) is connected to its source.
The characteristics of the N MOS depend on the chosen model. See the vendor's web page for more details about a specific N MOS model.
When adding a NMOS transistor into the device library, the shown numbering is the pin order in a spice .subcircuit/.model statement.
The block is characterized by the properties listed below. To modify the values, use the Block Properties – Parameters dialog box.
Channel Length |
Length of the conducting channel beneath the gate. |
Channel Width |
Width of the conducting channel beneath the gate. |
Initial State |
State can be ON or OFF. It initializes the device for the calculation of the DC bias solution. |
Note that these parameters do only appear, if the transistor has been imported as a .model statement and not as a general subcircuit.
