With this dialog box the device model library can be manipulated, browsed and a desired model can be selected to be used in the schematic.
If the dialog box is opened via the block selection tree, all available device models are shown. If it is opened via the context menu of a selected device in the block selection pane, only those models of the selected device type are shown.
Library tree
The contents of the library are shown in the library tree. The devices are sorted by device type and vendor. Depending on the vendor, a more detailed hierarchy may be given.
Description
Displays the comment lines given in the selected library file.
Filter
Switch button to filter the visible devices in the tree. Only those devices that match the string in the text field will be shown. Wild cards are allowed.
Import
Imports a device model. It will open a "Browse File" dialog box where a device model file can be selected. Any Berkeley SPICE 3F4 files with some PSPICE syntax elements are supported.
An appropriate SPICE format can be selected by a filter. For details on the supported SPICE features please refer to SPICE Import Block.
NOTE: When importing a device into the spice library, the pin order of a given spice subcircuit must match those given in the device type online help pages.
View
Opens a text viewer that shows the contents of the selected model library file.
Delete
Removes the selected item from the library. This function is only available for user defined models.
Use
Uses the selected device to place it into the schematic.
NOTE: When a device is placed into the schematic, the device description is copied to the project. Any change to the device library will not affect any existing project.
Close
Closes the dialog box.
Help
Shows this help text.
