Notes

1. This probe yields the voltage of the input signal Vin(t). This voltage signal may be viewed in the time or spectral domain.

2. For baseband signals (i.e., zero carrier frequency), this probe yields the input voltage signal in the time domain and its spectrum in the frequency domain.

The baseband frequency domain response Vin(f) is computed at a set of discrete frequency points according to:

 where:
k = 0, 1, 2, . . . N-1
ts = Input signal time step
N = The next power of 2 larger than the total number of samples available at the input port, and

3. For passband input signals of the form , this probe will

yield the complex input voltage in the time domain and its spectrum in the fre­quency domain.

4. The passband frequency domain response Vin(f) is computed at a set of discrete frequency points according to:

N = The next power of 2 larger than the total number of samples available at the input port.
