![]() ![]()
![]() Cross section of an inhomogeneous broadside coupled stripline
Notes1. This component uses a stripline substrate but is symmetric, suspended stripline. 2. The separation between ground planes (B) is taken from the stripline substrate definition. 3. Loss calculations are based on metallization and dielectric loss tangent information specified for the substrate. 4. The dielectric constant specified in the substrate is used as the dielectric constant er of the material filling the space between the two strips. 5. The expressions used for the evaluation of the characteristic impedances and effective dielectric constants are accurate for: ![]() ![]()

and ![]() ![]()
6. A quasi-TEM mode propagation is assumed, which should be valid as long as B/l and W/l are much smaller than unity, where l is the guide wavelength. Netlist FormSLIBCL:NAME n1 n2 n3 n4 W=val S=val P=val SUB=label Netlist ExampleSLIBCL:BCL1 1 2 3 4 W=50MIL S=40MIL P=1.5IN SUB=SUB1 where SUB1 needs to be defined through the .SUB statement.
