Nexxim Simulator > The Linear ChannelAMI Analysis assumes a linear channel, represented by the N-port device in the example circuit. Additional linear components in the transmitter or receiver (such as the terminating resistors in the example circuit) are treated as part of the channel. The channel is characterized by its impulse response function. Convolution with the impulse response is slower than convolution with the step response in QuickEye, but the impulse response is better suited for handling third-party models. Like the step response, the impulse response has no backward dependency.
