General Guidelines

The following guidelines describe the job and priority considerations when integrating Ansoft Designer with the Windows HPC Scheduler.

• A Job submitted to Windows HPC Cluster is defined by:

— Job properties

— Task list

— Task properties

• Job and task priorities, resource requirements, node preferences, and other job and resource attributes are derived from the Job properties.

• In the case of an Ansoft job, the Task List consists of a single task. The properties of the single task specify the command line that runs Ansoft Desktop in non-graphical mode in order to perform the analysis of an Ansoft project.
