Library Paths
The simulation modules make use of a Library which contains, among other things, data such as material properties, macros, result templates, etc. The path for this library can be specified in the options dialog.
Please Note: Browsing the Library folder reveals a Macros subfolder. In contrast, earlier versions of the software requested the user to browse for the Macros folder directly. If an existing macro is being modified and saved, however, it is overridden at its original location regardless of path specifications.
The dialog box allows you to specify more than one directory. Whenever data need to be loaded from the library, the topmost directory will be used first. If this directory does not contain the desired data, the directory list is searched downward until the desired data are found. Whenever new data are stored in the library, the topmost directory is used.
Cache Path
The Schematic
view optionally uses a cache where existing simulation data can
be stored for later reuse. You can specify the location of this cache
data by choosing EditResult Cache
Set Cache Paths:
Regarding directory precedence when accessing data from the cache, the same rules apply as described above for library paths. Note that cache data may become very large. Therefore, make sure to have at least 2-3 GB available on the corresponding drive.
