When a model is opened, the Geometry of the model, or history of how the model was constructed, is available as a node in the Navigation tree.
This enables the user to easily identify and edit any part of the model. Variables are listed at the top of the tree and may be used when constructing the model. Click on the +/- sign next to Variables to list the variables and values used in a model. Right click on the variables to add another or edit them.
Model parts can be grouped together to improve model organization, or they can be shown as a simple list. To create a group to hold parts, or delete a group, right click on the Geometry item or a group name in the history tree, and select the appropriate menu choice. To edit a part in the model, expand the tree structure to find the item you want to edit, then double click on the part.
The values you enter in the part edit dialogs do not have to be real numbers but may include variables and mathematical operators, e.g. 2*a+8 - please refer to the section on Law.
Model parts in the geometry tree that have material attached have a coloured icon next to their name to identify them as metal or other material. Parts with no material attached have a white icon next to their name
Build is unable to display the history of the part for some geometries. This usually occurs when a file has been imported from another CAD tool. If the history of the body is unavailable, the description of how the part was created will be displayed as ‘history unavailable’.
