Visualizing Results

CST DESIGN STUDIO offers the possibility of a graphical presentation of the calculated results. There are two kinds of plot views that have to be distinguished:

Both kinds of plot have in common that there is a corresponding item inside the navigation tree. Clicking on it activates or opens the plot.

 

Initially, a plot view shows the magnitude of the data. You can switch to another representation using the 1D Plot ribbon, as there are displays of the real part, the imaginary part, the magnitude in DB, the phase, a polar representation and the Smith chart.

 

From the 1D Plot: Properties you can open dialog boxes where you can modify the settings for the current plot as well as the font and color settings, the selection of the curves to display, the axis ranges, etc.
