This dialog box will be shown as part of the simulation project creation if a field source is derived from the newly created simulation project.
Type of field source
This selection defines the type of the field source which will be derived from the newly created simulation project.
A nearfield source requires the definition of its frequency range as well as a sampling rate in the Frequency range frame.
In addition to these settings, a farfield source also requires an angular step width of the farfield data. The corresponding entry field next to the Farfield source option becomes active once the farfield type is selected.
Frequency range
The Fmin and Fmax settings in this frame specify the frequency range for which source data will be recorded. If a frequency range is already specified for the project, then this range will be set as default. In addition, the number of frequency samples within this frequency range being used for recording the field source can be specified in the Steps field. The more samples are defined, the more accurate the broadband behavior of the field source will be. However, please note that the computational effort for calculating and storing the field source does linearly increase with the number of frequency samples.
OK
Accepts the current settings and closes the dialog box. In simulation project creation mode, the new project will then be created.
Skip
Closes this dialog box and skips the creation of a field source.
